Cross-border railway passenger trips exceed 244,000

The development

The tourism ministry’s website republished the railway update on 14 September, citing the earlier Laotian Times report. It reports 244,000 cross-border passenger trips for January–August 2026, more than 50% above the comparable period. These are the same figures previously covered, not a new daily traffic release.
